The Royal Air Force Association marked Armed Forces Day (27 June)
by erecting a plaque on Bognor Regis pier commemorating its use as
a naval station during World War II. The pier was named HMS
Barbara for the duration and the flag now hangs in the RAFA
building in Waterloo Square facing the pier.
